A Blogging Update

Although I love the concept of giving you a glimpse into our lives via photos, I am not as good as I wish I were at updating...as many of you have witnessed. Facebook has been a little bit more my speed. So that's where I keep things more current. If I get some extra time, I'd love to post more pictures on here. If you'd like to receive email updates when I do post on this blog, just email me. (...that way you won't have to waste time checking here and still not find anything new!!) So, this is not "goodbye," but rather an FYI. Take care, e

Christmas Decorating from our Children's Perspectives

It's all about lights--twisted and contorted--all around your bed and room, plus overdecorated miniature Christmas trees. (I spared you some of those photos.)

Mother/Daughter Cookie Exchange

Since Aly doesn't have any sisters, she's been wanting to get together with other girls from our church who don't have sisters either. So, we invited those girls and their mothers over for a Mother/Daughter Cookie Exchange. We had lots of fun!

Christmas Musical at church

Aly was Mary.

Bradley is in the red shirt on the first row.

Aly (wearing blue) singing her solo.

Johnny was the bus driver (narrator).

"Do you see what I see?"

We couldn't take all this photo madness too seriously.

The Ice Cream Bowl

Our family has a tradition called The Ice Cream Bowl. We watch the Texas A & M vs. texas university football game together. Before the game starts, we guess the score for each team. The person closest to the actual score wins by getting a big bowl of ice cream with just about anything they want on top of it. This year, Aly guessed that the Aggies would win with 32 points over tu at 30 points. The actual final score was Aggies 38 and tu 30! Congratulations Aly--she has won 2 years in a row!

Thanks for the great birthday!

We were able to take a little birthday road trip. I've always loved the beach, so...

you can imagine how surprised I was when God gave me this gift...

the illusion of being at the beach as we drove up Lookout Mountain.

While were nearing the top of the mountain, we noticed a thick fog lying in the valleys that made it look like the ocean.

Do any of you recognize Rock City?

As the fog began to burn off, in the few minutes we were there, you could begin to see part of the city below.

Having fun with our friends...

We'll miss you when you move!

Look who won the company dress up competition--Dilbert! When he won at his company, they sent in his photo to the corporate office to compete with all the other companies' winners...our very own Dilbert won overall!! Way to go John!!
